What is The Open Forum?

The Open Forum is an open discussion on God and life issues.

In our North American culture, the topic of religion is not typically an acceptable topic for open discussion. Religious beliefs are thought to be best kept private. Therefore, most of us do not have a safe venue to discuss with peers some of life's most important questions. The Open Forum provides just that.

There is no panel of experts, and students from any religious or non-religious worldview are welcome. There is simply a forum facilitator, whose role is to insert provocative questions to keep the conversation moving forward. Any student that attends will have the opportunity to express their opinion, though there is freedom just to listen.

Questions that are often discussed include...
"Does God exist?"
"Do all religions lead to the same God?"
"Why is there evil and suffering in the world?"
"Is there meaning or purpose in life?"

Come and participate in one of the more thought provoking conversations you can be a part of.
